Reading

Your child's books will be changed once per week, on a Friday, and they will also be assigned 2 e-books.  Please remember that repeated reading of the same book improves fluency and develops comprehension.

Your child will also have the opportunity to choose a library book each week. Please record any books from home you have read, these can be non-fiction, comics, bedtime stories.  

The expectation in Year 2 is for your child to read 5x weekly.  Thank you.

Oxford Owl

Oxford Owl is a website that offers online books with comprehension activities for children. Your child will have 2 e-books assigned to them every Friday in addition to their physical books they bring home. Their log in details can be found inside their reading record book.
