Year 1

Commotion in the Ocean

In Summer 1, Year 1 were set the challenge of researching and creating a fact file about a sea creature for their home learning task. The children were very excited to share their new found knowledge with one another! 

A Right Royal Occasion

In Spring 2, Year 1 looked at the countries of the UK - England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. We had lots of fun looking at all the different places you can visit as well as studying the human and physical features of all 4 countries.

We're Going On a Bear Hunt

In Autumn 1, Year 1 had lots of fun creating their own maps of the bears journey using a objects and a key to show the locations of each scene. We spoke about which places were near to each other and which places were far away.
