Governors
What is a Governing Body?
The Governing Body is composed of unpaid volunteers who have agreed to support and challenge the work of the school under the head teacher's leadership. Governors represent various interested groups as defined by law. We meet as a full governing body twice a term. We also have committees that oversee finance and management and our curriculum. Each of these committees meet at least once a term and reports back to the Full Governing Body. From time to time working parties are convened to undertake a particular task, such as self-evaluation and budget planning. Governors also monitor the work of the school through visiting classes and attending school events as well as supporting the school within the wider community.
