Week 9 - 22.6.20
Week Beginning 22.06.20
This week we will be beginning to look at habitats, the habitat we are looking at this week is Forests.
Research facts about forest habitats to help with your Wednesday writing task.
What is a habitat?
What would you find in a forest/ woodland?
What animals live in a forest/woodland?
How do you respect a woodland area?
What plants are in a woodland area?
Where is our nearest forest or woodland area?
Can you create a woodland/forest scene with all natural objects.
You will need to collect sticks, leaves and other natural objects you may find.
You can either bring your objects home, or create your scene outside.
The idea is you do not need glue or anything else to make your woodland scene. You layout your natural objects to look like a woodland or forest scene, take a picture and then either make another scene or return your objects.
Look out for a video of Mrs Sharp explaining in more detail how do this and demonstrating it.
Listen to the story of the 'The Gruffalo' and then design your own Grufalo.
What would yours have?
Would it be scary or kind?
Will it have spikes or prickles?
What colour will it be?
We look forward to seeing your wonderful work on Tapestry. Remember for those working from home we are looking out for our next Star of the Week.
