For the last 2 weeks, we have been celebrating Harvest, and learning all about what Harvest means to us. The children experienced many different crafts including salt dough peas, bead pumpkins, finger painting, bubble wrap sweetcorn and Dingle Dangle Scarecrows. As well as baking our own bread.
We have been baking all week, but on Monday, we had fun making our chefs hats and writing out the recipe cards for our bakes. The children chose jam and lemon curd tarts, chocolate crackle cakes and cheese straws.
Halloween was very busy, with carving and paint and reveal pumpkins and swedes, as well as sparkly spiders and the most fabulous cotton bud skeletons. The children enjoyed their tea by candlelight and their pumpkins glowing.
