Autumn 2: Pumpkin Soup

Earlier this week, a mysterious parcel arrived in Bumblebee class. What could it be?

We gathered together to investigate.

The children opened it up and peered inside. We had been sent a copy of the story Pumpkin Soup, 3 puppets (a cat, a duck and a squirrel) and a cauldron.

What could this all mean? We discussed this as a year group and the children decided that we should share the story and find out what it is about.

It would appear that we will be exploring a story that focuses on the themes of collaboration, friendships and learning from our mistakes. This will link in with our PSHE learning for this half-term, Celebrating Difference. The storyline also offers opportunities for the children to explore Autumnal themes and work together in creating a vegetable soup in Design and Technology!
