Dear Parents and Families,
Welcome to Manor Field Infant School, where every child matters.
There are five groups of people who work together to make our school a special place. Firstly, the children - they are lively, enthusiastic, caring, funny and sensitive people who each day remind us why the rest of us are here. Next, the staff - teachers, teaching assistants, dinner ladies, admin staff, caretaking and cleaning staff, kitchen staff, all dedicated to making the school a good place to work and learn. Thirdly, the governors - they are a largely unseen group of people who work extremely hard on behalf of the school to ensure that all legal requirements are met and that the school is properly run. Fourthly, our volunteers - some of them parents, some of them friends of the school, who give of their time generously to support the children and staff. And finally - you our parents. I cannot overstate how important we believe your role to be in partnership with us and how important your voice is in running our school.
This is a school where we hope that you and your child will feel valued, supported and able to make a real contribution. We believe that to help the children learn, we must be learners too - we want to learn from you about your child, and we hope that you will become involved in your child's learning so that what they do in school is well supported by what they do at home. We want our children to enjoy their learning and benefit from what is offered to them as much as they can. We are always looking for ways to improve, and we invite you to join us in the learning journey.
I hope you find our website informative and a useful gateway to our school. Please especially read our Vision Statement - it is a description of the set of beliefs that all the staff hold, and should clearly indicate what we think is important in education.
We look forward to meeting you at home and in school. We look forward to working with you and to celebrating your child's love of learning and of life.
